NewCom was founded in 1995 by former members of the
management and engineering teams of major telecommunications
company. NewCom performs engineering services and
network data management for the telecommunications
industry. In addition, NewCom specializes in customized
software development and management of Geographic Information
Systems (GIS) for governments and utilities. Moving from
the first versions of digital documentation to the current advanced
versions of GIS, NewCom has continually incorporated ever-evolving
spatial technology into its business operation.
Team NewCom
NewCom's origins are rooted in CATV – over the course of 30
years, members of the NewCom team designed more than 60,000 miles
of OSP network for cable television, becoming a respected, sought
after, and innovative resource in the cable industry.
Additionally, the entire NewCom engineering team— data
specialists, designers, drafters, field engineers, GIS specialists,
programmers — are equipped with knowledge of both cable and
telecom OSP engineering of more than 90,000 plant miles across
the United States. Plus this team worked in MSO and CLEC operations.
In addition, the Telecom Division engineering team average more
than 30 years of telephone network operations and OSP engineering
experience.
